  Understanding your child – Free popular course

  This is an enjoyable, well-established and trusted way of understanding more about your child. ‘Understanding your child’ is for mums, dads, grandparents and carers. Parents often say they feel calmer, more confident and have a better relationship with their child.

   

  The course was developed in the NHS together with frontline practitioners.

  The course covers:

  - Responding to how your child is feeling

  - How your child develops Different styles of parenting How your child communicates

  - Understanding your child’s behaviour

  - Sleep, self-regulation and anger

   

  Sessions are open to parents in the Prestatyn area Sessions will be held in Ysgol y Llys from 9.15am - 11.15 am every Thursday during term time starting on: Thursday 30th January 2025 for 9 weeks

• Change of Date for Sports Day

  Important Update: Change of Dates for Sports Day Due to Weather Conditions

   

  I am writing to inform you about an important change regarding our upcoming Sports Day.

  Unfortunately, due to the recent weather, our school field is currently very wet, making it unsafe for our learners to practice for sports day. Safety is our top priority, and we want to ensure that all learners can participate in Sports Day without any risk of injury.

  Therefore, we have decided to reschedule Sports Day from its original dates of May 14th-16th to June 12th-14th. We believe this extra time will allow us to practice safely and give the field sufficient time to dry out (provided the weather cooperates.)

  We apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding and support.

   

  The new dates are as follows:

  Year 3 – 6 – Wednesday 12^th June

  Year 1 – 2 – Thursday 13^th June

  Early Years – Friday 14^th June

  All Sports Day’s will start at 9:15

• Own Clothes Day

  Next Friday, April 19th, will be an own clothes day at school. We kindly ask, if possible, for a donation for our school food bank, Y Gegin Fach, on this day.

   

  Additionally, if you have any school uniform items which you would like to donate, it would be greatly appreciated.
