Welcome to Ysgol Clawdd Offa
Starting school is an important step in a child's life. At Ysgol Clawdd Offa, we aim to provide a happy
and secure environment in which to offer new opportunities for your child to continue to grow and
develop. The school also places a strong emphasis on encouraging children to think for
themselves and to become accustomed to using their own initiative whenever possible.
We will try to teach them how to learn and about the pleasure that is to be gained from learning.
We hope to make the learning process more meaningful by setting tasks appropriate to individual
needs and by offering a variety of first-hand learning experiences.
From their earliest days at school, we want children to enjoy being at school and to learn to work and
play together in harmony. At the same time, each child will be encouraged to achieve and maintain
high standards of attainment and presentation.
Education is a partnership between the home and school. During the important formative years that
your child is attending Ysgol Clawdd Offa, I hope we can work together to build the foundations upon
which his or her future can be firmly laid.
